FeatherPRO Featherboard features EVA feathers which have revolutionized Featherboard performance and safety. FeatherPRO is one of the safest featherboards available. EVA feathers virtually arrest kickback - something you don’t get from plastic feathers.

EVA has slight pliability which combined with patented living hinge design pinch the board against the fence and absorb kickback forces immediately as the board moves backward. EVA feathers provides excellent infeed control for the cleanest cut. As feather tension is applied, EVA feathers lay down for greater surface contact holding wood secure against the fence and minimize wiggle. Even under high feather tension, wood feeds easy and smooth, yet firm. EVA feathers dampen vibration and will not mar even the softest woods.

If the EVA feathers make accidental contact with a blade or router bit, they cut through and can be replaced; no violent reaction. Plastic feathers can shatter and become dangerous projectiles that can cause serious injury; and your featherboard is ruined. And if you’re using cutters with carbide tips, they could be damaged as well.
